Our resource management team had a very strong 2007 and we intend to build on this in the Scandinavian countries with the introduction of a senior representative who has now begun marketing our services with new potential clients. Our general fabrication works were very busy during the whole of 2007 and we have started 2008 in a similar manner. Whilst our pipe fabrication business contributed to the Group’s bottom line our facilities were underutilised and we are taking steps to ensure this does not happen in 2008. Marine Outfitting activities continued with our involvement in the Astute nuclear submarine programme and we were advised of the intention of our client to add Boat 4 to our current alliance, taking our participation through to 2014 together with a major involvement in contracts in Norway. During 2007 we have tendered for several of our disciplines on the Aircraft Carriers and we would anticipate these contracts would be awarded during 2008. This, together with a resurgence in the oil and gas recovery sector, suggests that our outfitting activities could increase. << Back | More >> |
